MAPLE BAY ROOFING INC ("Maple Bay," "we," "us") provides roofing services to homes and businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area. This policy explains what personal information we collect through maplebay.us (the "Site"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. California residents have additional rights, described below.

Information we collect
Information you give us
When you request a quote or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, city or ZIP code, property type (home or business), service of interest, and any notes you share. We also keep a record of whether you agreed to receive calls, texts and emails.
Information collected automatically
If you allow analytics and marketing cookies, we and our vendors collect information about your device and how you use the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location and the date and time of your visit. Our hosting provider also keeps basic server logs for security and reliability.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for payment card numbers, Social Security numbers or other sensitive personal information through the Site.
How we use your information
- Respond to your quote request, confirm service availability and discuss your project.
- Contact you by phone, text message or email about your quote, and, if you agreed, about future offers and news.
- Operate, secure and improve the Site.
- Measure the performance of our advertising, if you allow marketing cookies.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it in these ways:
- Service providers that host the Site, store and manage our customer records (including our customer relationship management system), and send email or text messages for us. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Analytics and advertising partners. If you allow the matching cookies, Google (Google Analytics) and Meta (Meta Pixel) receive information about your visit. Sharing data with advertising partners for ad measurement and targeting may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can turn this off at any time (see Your choices).
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Maple Bay, our customers or others.
- Business transfers. If Maple Bay is involved in a merger, sale or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of it.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies and similar technologies are small files or scripts stored on your device. When you first visit, a panel lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or choose by category. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie Settings" in the footer.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of analytics and marketing cookies and of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
Calls, texts and emails
If you check the consent box on our quote form, you agree that Maple Bay may contact you by phone call, text message and email at the number and address you provide, including with automated technology, about your quote and future offers. Consent is not a condition of getting a quote or buying anything. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. You can also email info@maplebay.us to opt out.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. There is no common standard for responding to these signals, so the Site does not change how it works when it receives one. We do honor the Global Privacy Control signal, and you can manage analytics and marketing cookies at any time with "Cookie Settings" in the footer. No analytics or advertising tags run until you opt in. Other than the vendors named in this policy, we do not allow third parties to track your activity across other websites through the Site.
Reviewing and correcting your information
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information you gave us at any time by emailing info@maplebay.us or calling (415) 741-6807. Tell us which information you want changed and we will update our records. We will notify you of changes to this policy by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
How long we keep information
We keep quote and customer records for as long as needed to respond to you, provide services, meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. Analytics and advertising data are kept according to the settings of the providers named above. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you these rights:
- Know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about you, the sources and purposes, and the categories of parties we share it with.
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing of your personal information. Use "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the footer, or send a Global Privacy Control signal.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA.
- Non-discrimination. We will not deny service, charge different prices or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your rights.
To make a request, email info@maplebay.us or call (415) 741-6807. We will verify your identity by matching details you provide with information we already hold. We respond within 45 days, and may extend once by another 45 days when reasonably necessary, and we will tell you if we do. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for written proof of their authority. If we deny a request, you can appeal by replying to our response.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
California "Shine the Light"
Under California Civil Code section 1798.83, California residents may ask once a year which categories of personal information we shared with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-party links
The Site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will give additional notice on the Site.
